Operations
We undertake all routine operations and pride ourselves on up to date training, equipment and medicine for the safest anaesthesia and recovery of your pet to ensure he/she is home comfortable with you as soon as possible.
Nurse Clinics
Run by a qualified registered nurse who can provide information and advice on worms and flea treatment, nutrition, behaviour and training. We also hold free dental health checks and obesity clinics, to ensure your pet remains happy and healthy. For a small fee the nurse can also clip your pet’s claws.
Annual health check and booster vaccinations
It is important to keep your pet’s immunity to life threatening disease up to date with an annual booster. This is also an oppertunity for your pet to recieve a full thorough health check, and for you to voice any concerns about your pet’s health.
Neutering
We reccomend neutering your pet to prevent future health problems, avoid unwanted litters, and in some cases help retain the loving personality of your pet.
Dental Hygiene
Pets have teeth too! In many cases preventive dental health care can often be overlooked. Bad dental hygiene is not only uncomfortable but can lead to systemic disease. Working together with regular dental checks you could avoid the need for major dental work and removal of teeth.
Identitichip
Which would your pet prefer....lost or found?
The implant is the size of a grain of rice, placed under the skin and can be in many cases, the difference between a lost pet being returned home or remain missing.
Pet Passport
Thinking of taking your pet abroad? Pet passports are now available to allow travel to and from the EU without quarantine. Ring for further information.
Fleas
If your pet has fleas, so does your home. 95% of the flea life cycle is in the home, this is why it is important to de-flea your pet monthly to stop fleas living in your home as well as on your pet. A single adult female flea can lay up to 40 eggs a day. We do many different ranges of prescription flea treatments and products for the home.
Worms
Worms in your pet can be very harmfull to them and some can even transfer to humans. To stop this risk, de-worm your pet at least once every three months. For pets that like hunting this is needed more often as the animals they catch (mice, birds etc) carry the eggs of these worms. We recommend the use of prescription worming tablets, available at our practice.
